This winter has been extremely cold so far and my son wants Boo to stay outside with him more than Boo would like.
This made me decide that my next crochet project should be a new sweater for Boo.
It’s made from scrap wool and I invented the pattern but I’m happy with the way it turned out. Boo seems happy with it too.
If anyone is interested in the pattern, let me know. I’d be happy to share.
Today is the four year anniversary of the day we adopted Rosie from Small Things Cats in Sudbury.
Happy Anniversary Rosie!
This was her adoption photo.
It was snake cage cleaning day so Pumpkin Snake was out of the cage and sitting on the couch watching TV with my daughter G. That is normally a spot for cats to sit.
I finished cleaning the cage but Pumpkin wasn’t ready to go home yet so she stayed with G while I continued on with my day.
A short time later G called for help saying she couldn’t get Pumpkin back in the cage. This is why.
I guess it seemed like a good spot for a cat to sit.
The only thing worse than the cone of shame for a dog is the bandage of dumbass-ary.
Boo had another ear infection. I didn’t notice until it was too late.
He managed to create another ear hematoma from shaking his head.
We had to visit the vet to have it drained. It was a rough day for Boo.
Little Vape-Cat is nearly five months old and I’m planning to bring him to the vet for the big snip (aka neuter) when he is six months old.
A local breeder of siamese cats has asked for his stud services before he is done but that leaves me with a tough decision.
There are too many cats in the world already. I’m continuously trying to find homes for homeless cats.
I know the importance of spaying and neutering pets.
But, the money that I’m being offered would pay for his Neuter plus some extra to cover extra food and litter.
There are people already asking for the kittens so I know that they would go to good homes.
So, my moral dilemma is to decide if I should assist in bringing more kittens into the world.
Just a quick update to say that Vape-Cat is fitting right in with the family. Little Lawrence thinks we got her a new kitten but Vape-Cat thinks Boo belongs to him.

As you may know from previous posts, we recently said goodbye to our boy Wizard. He was dearly loved and can never be replaced .
Wizard was my son’s best friend so he felt the loss the most. My son tried to bond with the other cats but couldn’t make a connection .
We started the search last week through all the local rescues and finally found this guy at the Cambridge Animal Hospital .
His name was Hands but it is now Vape-Cat . That’s what happens when you let a 15 year old boy name the cat.
He is blending well with our family .
